Chitchat Johor Moslem Woman Suspected Of Apostasy For Marrying CECA Sikh Boy In Sikh Ceremony! Johor Sultan Urges Patience Before Declaring Her Fugitive!

JOHOR BAHRU: Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar has weighed in on a recent issue involving a Malaysian Muslim woman whose wedding ceremony in India was carried out in accordance with Sikh customs.

In a statement released on Monday (Dec 21), the sultan said: "I would like to advise all parties not to draw any conclusions or act prematurely in dealing with this issue. The woman is undergoing trial by media even though she has not yet declared that she wants to leave Islam."

"If we are in a hurry in our actions to punish her, then we will build a huge barrier for her to return to our country and widen the gap between her family in Malaysia and her life in India," he added.

While the sultan did not identify the woman in quesion, he is believed to be referring to Ms Illi Najwa Saddique, who was the subject of criticism recently after photos of her wedding ceremony in Punjab, to India's hockey captain Manpreet Singh Pawar, were circulated on social media.

Netizens questioned her religious status because the ceremony was not done in accordance with Muslim customs.

There were also questions on how she was allowed to travel to India during the Movement Control Order (MCO) amid COVID-19 border restrictions, and whether she relied on her political connections.

She is the niece of National Unity Minister Halimah Mohamed Sadique, a United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) lawmaker for the Kota Tinggi constituency in Johor.

The sultan added on Monday that he has ordered the Johor Islamic Religious Department to check on the woman's religious status through her family members and Malaysia's embassy in India.

He explained that as she comes from Johor, and in his role as the head of Islam in the state, he wants to ensure that the lives of Johor residents will be protected by the provisions of the law where Islam is the "the pillar of our state life".

In his statement, the Johor ruler also advised "the woman" to ensure that the decision she makes is approved by her parents, and does not "violate the norms set by Islam".

"I am confident that the Johor Islamic Religious Department and the Johor Mufti Department will provide all necessary assistance to the woman to maintain her faith within the scope of Islamic law," he said.

"Whatever news we receive related to the relationship among Muslims should be examined without prejudice. We need to be open-minded and think positive," he added.

Malaysian media reported on Monday that the federal government is still waiting for a complete report from the Johor Islamic Religious Department.

“We will only know the full story after we hear it from the woman herself,” Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Ahmad Marzuk Shaary reportedly said.

“From the information we have received so far, the woman concerned is still a Muslim and there has been no application from her to change her religious status," he added.

Local media also reported a statement, purportedly written by Ms Illi Najwa and released by Mdm Halimah's aide. In the statement, Ms Illi Najwa maintained that she has never changed religion and remains a Muslim.

She reportedly also apologised for her "ignorance" and explained that she and her husband had gotten married through an Islamic nikah ceremony in December 2019.

That's a Christian verse. moslems do not subscribe to such a belief.

Kelantan has biggest hiv cases in the country due to drug addiction and lying next to Thailand.

That's because kelantan followed the retarded shariah law systems. It is an open secret in the business circles that most of their political leaders are corrupt and perverts.

If there is investigation wrt sultan of johore abusing his powers for personal financial gain, he would be overthrown

So there will be no investigation. The m&ds see their sultans like an idol, or some mix of religious political symbol.

Peaceful religion?

It is not a religion so no need to convert. You yourself can be in and out anytime.
The apostasy law were created to protect the ruling clerics..but based on the holy text, its freedom of faith.
There is no such place for clerics to a believer. There is only submission to God. Muslims today s7bmit to clerics and the religion They control.

Freedom of belief in Islam

  1. Short Description
In a clear and basic rule about the religious freedom and the freedom of expression in Islam, God Almighty says: “Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error.” [Al-Baqara: 256].
Freedom of belief in Islam

  1. In a clear and basic rule about the religious freedom and the freedom of expression in Islam, God Almighty says: “Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error.” [Al-Baqara: 256]. The Prophet (PBUH) and the Muslims after him did not order anyone to compulsorily embrace Islam. Neither did they force people to look like Muslims to escape death or torture. How can they do this and they well know that if someone accepts Islam under duress, his Islam becomes valueless in the Doomsday, which every Muslim seeks to realize.

It was mentioned in the reasons behind the revelation of the aforementioned verse: Ibn Abbas said: “The women of the Helpers whose boys always died in infancy used to vow to bring up their boys as Jews if they were to live. When the Banu'l-Nadir were driven out, they had among them children of the Helpers. The Helpers said: 'We will not leave our children!' Upon which Allah, exalted is He, revealed: “Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error.” [1]

Issue of faith, will of man

Islam has made the issue of faith or non-faith one of the issues that are dependant on man’s own will and his inner convictions. God Almighty says: “Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it).” [Al-Kahf: 29] The Quran also has attracted the Prophet’s attention to this truth and told him that he is only responsible for calling people to Allah and he has no authority to convert them to Islam. He says: “Wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!” [Yunus: 99] and said: “Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs” [Al-Ghashiyya: 22] and said: “If then they run away, we have not sent thee as a guard over them.” [Ash-Shura: 48]. Consequently, it becomes clear that the constitution of Muslims stipulates freedom of belief and categorically rejects compelling anybody to accept Islam.[2]

    Religious pluralism in Islam

Endorsement of religious freedom means admission of religious pluralism. This was a practical exercise when the Prophet (PBUH) admitted religious freedom in the first constitution of Medina, when he admitted that the Jews together Muslims form a one community. Also during the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet (PBUH) did not force Quraysh to accept Islam despite he was empowered and victorious. He told them: “Go you are free men”[3]. Following his footsteps, Caliph Umar Ibn Al-Khattab offered Christian residents of Jerusalem protection for their lives, churches and crucifixes and that none of them should be harmed or forced to change his religion.[4]

Islam even enshrined freedom of religious debating on objective bases away from altercations or mocking the other. In this regard, God Almighty says: “Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious.” [Al-Nahl: 125] On these gracious principles, dialogue should be built between Muslims and non-Muslims. Islam has also called for dialogue with the people of the book. The Quran says: “Say: "O People of the Book! Come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah. That we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah. If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will).” [Al’Imran: 64] This means that if dialogue renders no result, everybody then has his own religion that he convinced of and that was also expressed in the last verse of Al-Kafirun, which concluded with the Prophet (PBUH) saying: “To you be your Way, and to me mine.”[5] [Al-Kafirun: 6]

Malaysia can’t enforce, but penalty for leaving Islam is death, mufti reminds apostates

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 9 — Islam prescribes death against Muslims who leave the religion for atheism, if they are “stubborn” and refuse to repent, according to Negri Sembilan mufti Datuk Mohd Yusof Ahmad.

However, he conceded that Shariah courts in the country cannot yet implement such punishments, and as such religious authorities must redouble their efforts to curb the spread of atheism, Malay daily Sinar Harian reported today.

If they are still stubborn, then the individual must be punished by death. That is the consensus of Muslim scholars,” he was quoted saying.

“Considering Islamic laws cannot be implemented 100 per cent in this country, authorities must do what they can to curb this. The jurisprudence has said that even if we cannot do everything, we cannot just leave it out.”

The punishment for the offence of apostasy under the controversial Islamic penal law of hudud is death.

Negri Sembilan’s Shariah laws do not criminalise apostasy. However Section 48 of its Shariah Offences Enactment punishes Muslims who claim himself not a Muslim to escape the jurisdiction of Shariah laws with fine not more than RM5,000 and not more than three years’ jail or both.

Kelantan and Terengganu’s hudud enactments prescribe death for apostates who fail to repent, but cannot yet implement it due to restriction in federal laws. PAS’ president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is seeking to remove this restriction with a private member’s Bill in the Parliament.

A photo of the gathering by the Kuala Lumpur chapter, or “consulate”, of the Atheist Republic has caused uproar from some in the Muslim community recently after it was highlighted by pro-Islamist blogs, leading to violent and death threats on social media.

Deputy minister in charge of Islamic affairs Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said yesterday Putrajaya will investigate the local group, even roping in the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, as it allegedly involved the faith of Muslims in the country.

Yesterday, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim had even said that atheists in Malaysia should be “hunted down” by authorities, allegedly since there is no place for groups like this under the Federal Constitution.

There is no place in how's way of life for scholars. You are either appointed a prophet, or you are just nobody. Why would muslims want to listen to nobodies. Their interest is self preservation and if you take away religion, these scholars will be unemployed.
