Serious John Tan and Wifey To Wine & Dine First Class With SIA! $498 Only! Meals To Be Delivered By Jobless SQ Pilots And Meal Served Hot By SQ Stewardesses?

so low class $498 such setting and satay.
$498, can get good omakase in Singapore.

In China, $498 per pax can get pangolin satay.

So 500 bucks cannot get makan for 2 at a Michelin restaurant in singkieland? N is the food in the plane freshly cooked or catered?

The food is freshly cooked by the Nippon michelin starred chef. It would be couriered over to my bungalow by only the finest SQ's grounded pilots and served warm to my wife and I by the prettiest kebaya SQ stewardesses.

My father in law the rich Towkay Sir John Tan obviously has expensive tastes in life.

I would be prepared to pay for this glorified expensive satay if those SQ girls come to my house and serve my meal naked and provide special service after the meal.

SIA’s Wine and Dine costs S$498; Qantas’ fully stocked bar cart costs S$1,443 - The Online Citizen

Singapore Airlines (SIA), like many airlines around the world, are in the fight for survival as the coronavirus pandemic halted overseas travel.

The airline has recently (29 Sept) unveiled a series of three experiences: a meal onboard an Airbus A380, a tour of SIA’s training facilities, and home delivery of First and Business Class meals.

SIA noted that all three experiences will be available for booking via KrisShop.com, and that KrisFlyer members can redeem their miles on their purchase.

However, some of the menus and prices of the airline’s SIA@Home, that is supposed to be opened for booking beginning on 5 October 2020, were found to have already been listed on KrisShop last night.

Some netizens who spotted the listings on KrisShop have circulated screenshots of the listing on Hardware Zones forum on Wednesday (30 Sept) before the listings were taken down from the website.

Based on the listings, the SIA Wine and Dine’s Singapore to Tokyo Kyo-Kaiseki Menu for First Class fliers is priced at S$498. The 10-course menu is for two persons, which is designed by Michelin-starred chef Yoshihiro Murata, the chef-owner of Kikunoi in Kyoto and Tokyo.

The package also comes with two 180ml bottles of sake and a bottle of wine, SIA’s signature satay, as well as a Singapore Airlines First Class Lalique unisex amenity kit.

The food will be delivered in chilled vacuum packs, and is good for consumption up until a day after delivery if stored in the refrigerator. Reheating and plating guides will be provided, and customers can opt for a “Book the Chef” service as well.

The Milelion reported that the price of the six menus was also published on KrisShop last night but has since been removed.

Qantas sells 1,000 fully stocked bar carts from retired 747
The Australian airline Qantas, on the other hand, has decided to sell 1,000 bar carts from the airline’s recently retired Boeing 747.

Bloomberg reported on 24 September that a full-size cart will cost for A$1,474.70 (S$1,443), while a half cart costs A$974.70 (S$953).

The bar carts were on sale through the airline’s frequent-flyer wine business.

Each bar cart is stocked with 40 mini bottles of white wine, 40 mini bottles of red wine, and one bottle of champagne. It also includes two business class amenity kits, two sets of pajamas, and one first-class rug.

Qantas told Business Insider that all 1,000 carts were sold out within two hours.

So basically it's delivered food like in grab food? For 500 bucks?

SQ's finest meals are worth $500. They are lovingly prepared by a michelin starred celebrity chef.
For this to justify the price? I check out a $75,000 watch too and the guy told me the strap comes from the tyre of the champion F1 racing lambogini speedo.
U got to add in atas names to justify the price. IMHO, names of justification are useless to me , these are not scientific justification that having such a meal and watch will enhance my body or life, only to get more money out of me.

Let's look at this SIA business proposal on in-flight dining.....

If you are already a frequent tourist flier...you would think twice about paying $50 for an airline meal in economy class.

If you a a frequent business flier...you would have enjoyed the luxury at the expense of your company...so why now pay for this?

So effectively SQ is just targeting those who have never flown before...ie those not too well off to book a flight longer than 1 hour to be served an in-flight meal served.

If you are not that well off...can you now afford $50 for a meal in the midst of a recession ?

From the logistics point of meal....imagine the customer travelling to Changi Airport, park his car or take the MRT, then go through the security (bearing in mind that the airport terminals are still security zones), wait at the departure lounge for the assigned times and then board the aircraft and then eat and then disembark.

All these will easily take 2 hours of your time...and how many return customers you would expect? And how much can SQ make from that $50 after all these costs.. especially knowing full well that there will not be any returning customers.

$500 to eat crap like satay? U got to be fucking kidding me? What’s next? Trim my toenails for $188?

No more $5k salary for those SQ girls ?

This looks like much betterer value than grab food from SIA.

Perth brunch with a HUGE price tag
Staff reporters
PerthNow
Perth’s flashy Ritz Carlton Hotel has launched what may be the State’s most expensive brunch with a $245 per person price tag.

The luxurious Elizabeth Quay hotel is serving a decadent menu for the hefty price tag, including all the trimmings including all-you-can-drink cocktails and French champagne.

The top notch experience takes place at the Ritz’s Songbird restaurant on the top floor of the skyscraper, with stunning views over the Swan River.

Included on the Sunday-only menu are scallops, king prawns, Wagyu beef sandwiches and twice-cooked eggs, fish crumpets as well as dessert canapes, with a special seafood station and barbecue.

Cheaper options include a tee-totaller’s mocktail brunch for $145 or a $195 option with cheaper wines.

The hotel’s general manager Dario Orsini told The West Australian the meal was an opportunity to enjoy high-end luxury without having to leave WA.

“With interstate travel unavailable for now, we are confident that the Perth locals want to indulge in incredible experiences in their own city,” he said.

The hotel’s Instagram page describes the venue as “the most beautiful brunch spot in Perth”.

The Ritz Carlton opened in November last year with 205 rooms, 19 suites and restaurant Hearth, which The West Australian food editor Rob Broadfield predicts will be within reach of international acclaim.

Mr Orsini said the design that had been weaved into the material and fabric if the hotel was profoundly West Australian.

“This place is packed with homages to what Western Australia has to offer to the world,” he said.

“As soon as you walk into the Ritz-Carlton Perth, you know where you are.

“Everything that you will taste, see, feel and touch here is Western Australia.”

SIA paying waitresses at least $5k per month. In addition, they get additional allowances and claims.

This company can go to hell with it’s crazy costs la.

Only the meals are served hot. The meals are not served by hot stewardess.
