Exactly three weeks ago, a "four-question referendum was held in Taiwan on 18 December 2021":

and in my opinion, those referendum questions were quite boring; but according to:

the next referendum may be held in 2023 (next year), so I'm fantasizing that one of the questions will be about Taiwan becoming some kind of "autonomous" province/prefecture of Japan, similar to the following Sinkie referendum nearly 60 years ago:
