Hope our government is aware of this. No foreigner will stay. As you rightly pointed out, they will return only when normalcy resumes. Hard and brutal truth.

It's quite obvious. Even their own citizens will leave. How are they going to stay in a place where it is flooded, no home, no electricity and water, no food, and threat of radiation and more earthquake and tsunamis?

Indeed it would be better for the government doing relief work and reconstruction thereafter. Important thing is these people have lost practically everything - and even family - and their government ought to help as much as it can.

It's important to have a strong government so that the country and its people can recover from any disaster. Some people don't realise this until it's too late - they still want to play play with their votes.

Look at the number of earthquakes that shook Japan these few days - unbelievable!

Mr Low said his son travels "quite often" to Japan for business.
Mr Low was Singaporean but became an Indonesian citizen in 1996 and is now a permanent resident here.

Lots of rich Indons with money everywhere - money also talks in Bahasa Indonesia.

But not Singapore - too clean for comfort for some people. Need to declare and pay tax at highest brackets. Also can befriend Suharto family. Can buy whole Indonesia island bigger than Sentosa to live in.

Most PRs are different. They take jobs - rather than create jobs.

Mizuho Bank says to brief on system troubles

The bank said earlier that all of its automatic teller
machines (ATM) throughout Japan have stopped working.
