Act to stop din created by foreign workers

I empathise with the residents of Block 151, Bedok Reservoir Road, whose problem was reported in last Sunday's article ('Foreign workers rile some Bedok residents').
I reside at Kent Road and used to have to bear with noise from foreign workers along Mergui Road right next to my block. Their nightly gatherings, with loud music and talk, drunkenness and even playing of drums, were a nuisance to the residents.
There were nights when I had to tell them to keep the noise down, or call the police.
Fortunately, with new developments along Mergui Road, these foreign workers have left.
The residents of Bedok Reservoir Road must take the necessary steps to deal with these noisy foreign workers, the first of which is to complain to the management of their dormitory. The residents must not look away and do nothing.
I urge the Housing Board and MPs to enforce strict curfews on the workers, or take other swift action.
