That's just conjecture. If we seriously let all our institutions get hijacked by one Party because of its incumbent advantage, we have only ourselves to blame. The more reason we have to start making change happens. Change begins with the mindset.

A independent central election commission might be technically non partisan but do you believe it is really neutral. It's likely no because the head of CEC and their executive members would have their own political allegiance or bribed by various political parties to do their bidding.

Let say Singapore has a independent CEC like the Judiciary. Who is appointing the Chairman of CEC? It's our President or PM. The CEC is still under PAP control.

An independent CEC is the right way forward but gerrymandering will never disappear. First past the post is a very flawed electoral system to use solely in parliamentary elections.

Aljunied is not within Aljunied GRC? i reckoned the only thing "Aljunied" about Aljunied GRC is probably the Aljunied Community Centre.

Singapore electoral boundaries can be redrawn north, south, east, west from any directions if desired.

I live in CCK SMC - HDB blocks going straight to Teck Whye are all CCK SMC, the areas behind, left, right of my blk are all Hong Kah GRC.
The small area from Clementi Central to Clementi Ave 4 are divided between Jurong GRC and West Coast GRC.
