Is the job market good now?

Everyone around me is telling me market is picking up and the job market is getting better. But funny la, cos they all along are employed, so dunno true or not.

Anyone u know who has been jobless for several months ? Is the report about job market picking up a fairy tale?

they prefer hire FT who can work 1/2 ur pay, if not less.

they say lower ur requirement and expectation. be more positve, willing to change mind set, must be hardworking spirit, etc etc.
