is the GE2011 results influenced by the m'sia 2008 political tsunami?

yesterday have a chat with my friend from johor and he told me that during the sg GE period last year he have made several trips to sg to attend rallies - both pap and opposition

and he commented that the GE2011 results of 6 opposition MPs being elected to parliament is due to the voters being influenced by the malaysia political tsunami in 2008. do you agree with it or you think that sg and m'sia politics have no links or influences towards each other?

No, no link. We should be thankful that Pakatan's rumbles did not cause Singaporeans to think twice about voting opposition.
