Is Revolut better than Wise f.k.a. TransferWise ?

Wise has recently increased their service fees. I'm considering Revolut as an alternative.

The problem with Revolut is it seems to work only on mobile phones. You can do it using your desktop or notebook. And I don't like to have banking apps on my mobile phone.

In terms of pricing, Revolut does not seem to charge a fee which, to me, does not make sense. Perhaps Revolut makes money only from the exchange rates. However, the exchange rates are even better than Wise, and the latter charges a service fee.

Anyone here using Revolut ?

I can see why that might be a dealbreaker for some. I’ve been using Revolut for a while now, and honestly, it’s been pretty convenient for me, especially with the better exchange rates compared to Wise. I was a bit skeptical about how they make money, too, but after using it for international transfers, I realized that the exchange rates are really what’s making it worthwhile. Been using Revolut for sometime and it is super convenient for me, especially going to jb. Now I use it from my mobile mainly.

They have a physical card too if you prefer to use that. Exchange rate is great.

They charged for their metal premium physical card, monthly. The default card is free though.

Revolut is also based on Visa payment, however they give better rates if using it for purchase when you are travelling oversea compare to the mainstream visa and Mastercard.

I don't understand why you all still using Revolut when Trust credit card works equally well with even better exchange rate. best of all don't even need to bother if inside got money or not. it works like a local credit card

heard that Trust is good and my associate advise me to get it too. But I am happy with Revolut so never make any effort to apply for trust.

The card you're referring to is a credit card, which allows you to spend like you would with a regular credit card. Additionally, there's a debit card option that requires a prepaid balance, which you must load before you can use it.

if you use it, you will dump the revolut. it really has the benefit of all those cards as a credit card. yet has zero expensive hidden charges when used oversea

this is precisely why trust as credit card is better....you no need to load any money to it. some more oversea easy to raise dispute if any funny thing happen.

just like Ezlink in public transport....who else go use the machine to top up these days. so troublesome. now everyone just use their credit card and tap away
