You are very discerning and wise. LHL will make use of these four years to scheme and distract the WP. LBH is a simpleton and is just a pawn in the bigger of scheme of PAP's gerrymandering. LKY and LHL find find ministers like LBH, LSS useful as they are easy to manipulate

My guess is that he won't in 2016, becos he won't want to seem to be jumping every election.
But they will be able to put up a few strong teams everywhere, as their brand is getting stronger.

I also think that the WP will put up a few strong and credible teams which can seriously challenge the PAP. The PAP knows that from now on, there wont be any easy contest in future Elections. that's good for Singapore

Me too, but I dislike his predecessor more.
He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, path cleared for him.
Clueless, lack of empathy for ordinary peoples' problems.

But his predecessor did not have the silver spoon and should have known and done better.

the perception is that ministers failed the jobs and let LHL down as if he is an emperor.... when actually its all LHL fault...

I agree with you LHL should be the one facing music since it is the PM that should take ultimate responsibilities for everything, good or bad. But we ought to be a little bit more discerning when it comes to who is the one behind all the screwed up policies. It's neither LHL, WKS, MBT, RL etc. It all comes from the one and only. No policies can see the light of day if it did not come from the one man. That's how S'pore has been governed, is being governed and continue to be governed as long as the one man is still alive. That's the hard truth.

I agree with you. LHL should be held accountable for the misgovernance in Singapore and also the mismangement in the various ministries. After all, LHl selected the Ministers and they report to him. LHL can run away from any misdeeds in the ministries. Honour he gets, brickbats he gets too. no two-ways abt that

I agree with you that one man is running Singapore. But who allows it? LHL is the PM..and according to our Constitution, he is the boss. If he cant be the boss, he is at fault. so if another, instead of him who is running Singapore, it's still the PM's fault for allowing it because he is a weak PM

LHL is in a bind now. with all constituencies likely to be contested in GE 2016, there is very little for him to manouvre.

All or nothing is not in the DNA of LTK. Most likely it is done to reassure ministers in vulnerable GRCs, as well as PAP fodders assigned to mount an assault for the GRC.

Don't think that WP will just be LTK, SL, CSM, PS and GG in 2016. If they gain a few more candidates, a multiple GRC approach is possible.

I agree with you. That's PAP's greatest fear..a multi-GRC attack with one or two prominent WP MPs leading the contest in each GRC and backed by other capable candidates. From GE 2011, the pap has shown that it is not able to attract good candidates. If this trend continues, the pap will be in trouble
