The new National Solidarity Party (NSP) candidate is quickly becoming a political star in the coming General Elections. Her Facebook fans have even outnumbered Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew’s.
She has a dedicated pool of fans following her on every NSP mass rally. A large number of people at the rally even left early during a mass rally of NSP on May 1 when it was clear that Seah was not going to be present.
Shin Min Daily News found that there is a pool of Seah’s supporters at every NSP mass rally. They consist of young and old, men and women.
Homemade posters, handshake and photo session
At the NSP mass rally last night, where Seah was the final speaker, the audience would shout out her name in response, with no matter to what she said. There were even male fans that shouted: “Marry me!”
Many people were holding posters of her, and one of them wrote: “Nicole Seah, you are my sun.”
More than hundreds of fans came up to Seah after the mass rally, requesting for photographs and to shake her hand.
She stayed for about half an hour to finish shaking hands, signing autographs and taking photos with her fans. Fellow candidates even advised her fans not to hold her hand for too long, as there were many people.
