There are no 讲情讲义in Singapore. If you want that don't stay in the country. Singapore government, PAP,MIWs etc has always emphasized $$$, just look at the million dollar pay they are getting. Also look at the Fthrash policy, they don't even want to talk or care about the impacts to the locals. Its about "meritocracy" and "elitism", both these do not talk about 情 or 义.

hi ash! good that you are out. sg is not about meritocracy or elitism, its about cronyism. real elite will leave sg like you and those fake or wayang ones will stay behind. when they want to control you, they will use the term "elitism" or "meritocracy" to justify themselves for the positions or political appointments. like those emperors in ancient China, they will say they are breed of the Dragon to differentiate commoners from them. ultimately, in sg its who you know not what you know.

You very shippai 失败。I go around Singapore and everywhere, Malaysia, Thailand, HK, China, Taiwan, Japan all the way to USA and Canada, always got 人情味 no problem. They all treated me so nice, even I'm not rich 5-star traveler, just budget-budget look-see look-see.

Back in Singapore? No need to say. Even police very nice too. I go bail people, 24 hours arrest becomes 2 hours 4 minutes.

All we need to do is to be reasonable. Then people will be reasonable to you.

you hit the jackpot! in Confucius ethic, they believe that the gov got to set examples for the people. therefore, they demand gov to have high moral standard. the higher the position, the higher the standard.修身, 齊家, 治國, 平天下. the first is 修身 and the last and is 平天下.

in sg, gov is setting a very bad standard. so commoners like us will have bad standard. gov also never 讲情讲义, you expect commoners to 讲情讲义?

Let me tell you if I haven't start writing my nasty experience in sammyboy.com,they will think no one know the ordeal they put me thru and probably I will really end up in IMH.
