As election season approaches, many are asking: Should we continue with the status quo, or is it time for a shift?

While some remain loyal to the incumbent for self serving reasons, others are reconsidering their support due to a growing list of concerns.

Is the current leadership serving your interests:

Job Market & CECA Concerns
Many locals, particularly in PMET roles, feel displaced by foreign hires, especially under CECA agreements. The perception that hiring preferences favor Indian nationals over equally qualified Singaporeans has led to frustration in various industries. If we are truly a meritocracy, why are locals being sidelined in their own country?

Cost of Living & Stagnant Wages

Prices for essentials; housing, food and transport continue to climb, yet wages remain stagnant for many. While ministers receive million-dollar salaries, the average citizen struggles with daily expenses. How sustainable is this model in the long run?

Housing Affordability & the 99-Year Lease Debate
HDB flats are becoming increasingly expensive, and concerns over lease decay make long-term homeownership uncertain. If our public housing system is meant to provide affordable homes, why do many young Singaporeans feel priced out?

Overcrowding & Infrastructure Strain
With rapid population growth, MRTs and buses are packed, waiting times at hospitals have increased, and public spaces feel congested. Despite promises of sustainable urban planning, many Singaporeans feel that infrastructure is struggling to keep up.

Cultural & Social Tensions
Integration has become a concern, with some foreign workers (particularly CECA nationals) forming enclaves rather than assimilating. Singapore has always been a diverse nation, but should there be greater efforts to ensure integration rather than just importing numbers?

Perceived Disconnect Between Leadership & Citizens
The ruling party often emphasizes "long-term planning," yet many feel that the government is out of touch with everyday struggles. Policies are implemented with little public consultation, and criticisms are often met with defamation lawsuits or POFMA corrections rather than open discussion.

Does this reflect true accountability?

Political Monopolization & Lack of Opposition Voices
The GRC system makes it difficult for opposition parties to gain traction, leading to a lack of diversity in policymaking. A strong opposition is not about tearing down the government, it’s about ensuring better checks and balances.

Why are we afraid of healthy competition in politics?

CPF & Retirement Concerns
Singaporeans work some of the longest hours globally, yet many feel they have limited control over their CPF savings. Shouldn’t citizens have more say over when and how they can withdraw their hard-earned money?

What’s yours?

There are many double head snakes sinkies.
Eg gansiokbin posted here that she voted for oppies but she voted for pap and she did an immediate correction to it and caught panties down by me.
And for the past she had been writing to praise pap in St forum. So obviously she is a lying slut.

Even I myself is a double head snake becos all the while I voted oppies but now I'm abit hesitatant becos pap gave me a lot of handouts. The handout I'm talking about is not about cdc vouchers and usave or gst vouchers. It is much more than that.
If oppies is in charge, likely all my freebies will be confiscated.

However, becos even I were to vote for oppies, pap is going to still be the gov.
Hence my final vote should still be to any oppies just to keep pap busy and in check.

I don't know about other double head snakes and there are just too many of them. Easily more than 50% of voters are double head snakes.
And sometimes people doesn't even know themselves that they are snakes.

It's the fucking vaccine that killed and injured their love ones and friends.. This is enough to kick these PAP losers out.

How come you didn't make this point out? This is so obvious.

As I know many new citizens are voting for opposition parties and this can be seen clearly in West Coast GRC
WOW, THIS is something new to me....you got inside info?? thanks for sharing if you are willing............ and FUCK PAP!!!

1) vote for opposition, ANY opposition.
2) opposition MUST avoid 3 corner fights
3) votes PRIORITY goes to 1st tier opposition parties :WP, PSP, SDP.,
then 2nd tier opposition parties RDU, PV, SDA, DPP, PPP, SPP, RP, NSP etc..

Talk so much…also no use de

I forecast minimum 70-80% for good hands as number talents and new citizen is going up up and away… coupled with CDC voucher effect

Older sinkees want HDB prices to remain high so they can cash out and have more retirement $.

How to convince them to vote oppo?

Pegging BTO flat prices to construction costs will take Singapore backwards: Desmond Lee

HDB prices BTO flats by determining their market value based on factors such as location and size, and then applies a discount to keep flats affordable.

SINGAPORE – The Progress Singapore Party’s (PSP) proposed “affordable homes scheme”, where Build-To-Order (BTO) flats are priced primarily on construction costs, will take Singapore backwards to a time when flats served as just shelter and not an asset, National Development Minister Desmond Lee said on March 7.

“They want to go backwards, to the time (when)housing was a shelter and an expense, and did not serve as a store of value and assurance for retirement, where Singaporeans did not have a stake – when they leave, according to the affordable homes scheme, just return (the) keys and move on,” said Mr Lee, who questioned if this was really what Singaporeans wanted.

Mr Lee said that this will be “a major change from the social compact we have had all these decades”, noting that it was in the Housing Board’s early years, from 1968 to 1987, that flat prices were fixed to recover costs.

Based on even this forum one can safely say that 80% opposed PAP being in power but come GE2025 somehow 69% will vote PAP.

Truly, LKY's policy of pegging Minister's salary to private sector, was the downfall of Singapore because clowns like this, who knows that they're not talented enough, but only there for the money.
Resulting in bad policies to the detriment of the citizens.
He's got an untrustworthy face some more.

In the GE2020, many anticipated a watershed moment, but it failed to materialize. Perhaps the GE2025 election will be the turning point.

It depends on the people and it depends on balls and it depends who do an Iris koh style.

One party dominated rule is the trashiest form of government. Look no further than China as an example.

Politics come and go, human nature never changes. Remember this well.
