There are already Singaporeans who are coming out to help other less fortunate Singaporeans in the most tangible and direct way. Talking about democracy and hoping to vote out the establishment at this point in time , when there are going to be more unemployed and financially stressed people, is likened to cases of how some countries view foreign aid representatives dressed in nice suits, talking at nice cocktail parties about helping starving people, but never ever daring to go into the midst of the needy in these countries. The opposition has a chance to prove otherwise to Singaporeans that they really do care for Singaporeans

Look inside your head and make sure if it's a brain instead of a kidney up there. If the establishment implement policies that are flawed and bring about hardships, it's their moral responsibilities to help if not reviewed and abolished. Oppositions are there to check and balance that, they are not allocated with proper resources to prove otherwise. It is not a heinous crime that Chee has committed. It could be a common practice in the academia. Chee was single out just because he joined opposition. The punishment meted out is out of proportion and does not justify his sacking. The sole purpose is to discredit Chee.
