Black Heart Khaw, in a lame defence of his silly proposal to send old peasants to Johore hospice decides to confuse stupid peasants. He claims to be a filial Confucian and pious Buddhist and will not dream of sending old peasants to cheaper hospice overseas.

Heartless Khaw could simply denied that he made those comments and simply sue Doc Chee using the kangaroo courts. However to showcase his lack of intelligence, he re-brands himself as a Confucian and Buddhist.

That is akin to saying he is a catholic and protestant at the same time.

  Live in nursing homes in JB?
  SINGAPOREANS could consider living in nursing homes in neighbouring Johor Baru, Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan suggested yesterday.
  
  It would be cheaper, yet be near enough to Singapore for family members to visit and for residents to return for medical care if necessary, he said.
  
  He told Parliament yesterday that he recently visited a site in Johor Baru where a Singaporean investor was planning to build a 200-bed nursing home.
  
  He asked the investor about the costs involved, and was stunned at how low they were.
  
  He said: 'It is mind-boggling. The cost of land and construction cost is so low that my cost of putting up just a polyclinic (in Singapore) is probably more than his cost of putting up a 200-bed nursing home (in Johor Baru).
  
  'The monthly cost of keeping a resident in a private nursing home in Singapore, you can stretch it easily to pay at least 2-1/2 months of nursing home care in Johor Baru.'
  
  If any medical problems cropped up, the elderly could be taken back to Singapore by ambulance, he said.
  
  For most Singaporeans, visiting a relative in a Johor Baru nursing home would not pose significant difficulties, he said.
  
  The investor, who is a nursing home chief executive, told him that many people visited their relatives weekly, even in nursing homes in Singapore.
  
  Mr Khaw added: 'Of course many visit daily, but quite a significant number visit only during the weekends, so what is the difference in putting them in Johor Baru?'

Imagine yourself as Arse Khaw. Your KPI is to ensure the regime spends minimal on health care. With aging population, greedy nationalised health cartels and rampant inflation, it is impossible to reduce health care costs. As the Health Minister, he already overseas an annual budget that is only 3% of GDP versus 11% of GDP for other developed countries. For him to not build nursing homes for the elderly here in Singapore for the simple reason that it is too expensive goes to show how much more weight he puts into money relative to compassion of the elderly and the average Singaporean who cannot afford expensive healthcare for their aged parents.

For him, as the health minister to do nothing knowing that there is a demand again shows his lack of compassion. If money is the root of all his concerns then he should relinquish his role as minister of health and go join the finance ministry!

Look, with the old man sabre rattling neighboring countries, do you think old folks home overseas would be safe? Why put it overseas when you can build tall complexes to house old folks and PA can be seriously doing grassroots and serious people's activities, rather than propaganda work.
