Google is making plenty of $ from the iPhone. So of course they will want to continue to support this platform
It is rumored that Google will be releasing an App for their maps.

It will take Apple some time to improve their maps to compete with Google's map but I wouldn't be surprised if it is sooner rather than later.

I just did a test on my friend iPhone OS6 map app just now. Ok i agree it look much simplier, but 1 good thing for this map is it is integrated into the iPhone OS itself, it works with Siri, you just have to name a location, Siri will do a search and you just reply "Get me there", the map app will open up and route you to the destination, WITH VOICE DIRECTION SOMEMORE

OK there is an update for my ip4 to ios 6.0 but i'm not updating till there's a JB for it. Then again it will screw up google maps and it will be gone wonder if it's worth it although i have google map on my note.
