How about Nokia's Navteq mapping? Is is good or comparable to Google's?
sucks, it is an downgrade, prevent it from update to OS6 if possible. what a con. We miss STEVE.
Yup!, we miss Steve, at least he does a good JOB!, IOS 6.0 Maps sucks!, not that I love Google Maps on the iPhone, we have been COOKed,
I think ios 6 is only for ip5 phones and the new ipad. So far never asked to update my ip4 so 5.1.1 is the last update for the ip4 and ip4s.
But...Alamaking say de new Apple map bery goot leh...
Its the 1st map after they dumped google map, pls give them sometime, nothing is perfect. lol.
Btw.. Apple shares going north again... lol
I agree the OS map is below expectations, seems like they are rushing for it. If Jobs still around, he wouldnt approve it at all. But you cant condemn the OS because of 1 application. If it hangs, battery consuming, lags when on the move, then I got nothing to say.AK you shouldn't blindly support one brand.
For me i jumped unto the apple bandwagon starting with the 3G and then move on to the ip4. when the 4s was released i realized it wasn't that much better and then jumped unto the android bandwagon. I use both brand of phones so i know the weakness and strengths of each one. Just like my pc hardware whereby i change from nvdia's green camp to the red camp and back again without any attachment to either brand.
I like your last sentenceApple (or Steve Jobs) is famous for paying attention to details and making sure everything works smoothly right out of the box.
That is the main reason why people pay a premium for its products.
No software is 100% bug free at launch, but the current quality of the iOS6 maps is unacceptable. Letting users do beta testing for you is Microsoft's style, not Apple's.
