Inmate allegedly stabs prison officer at Changi Prison

IN A rare incident in Singapore jails, a senior prison officer was allegedly attacked by an inmate on Wednesday morning.

The inmate had apparently used a sharp object, believed to be a pair of scissors, to stab the officer in the Changi Prison Complex more than once.

A well-placed source told The Straits Times that 26-year-old assistant superintendent of prison Jaiy Santosh was stabbed in his stomach and another part of his body, in his office.

A Singapore Prison Service (SPS) spokesman said that "he is in a stable condition and continues to be under medical observation".



A former inmate who wanted to be known only as Michael said that inmates who work as "office boys" are the ones who would likely have the chance to enter the officer's office... Former senior prison officer turned criminal lawyer Rajan Supramaniam said that inmates are also allowed into the senior officer's office during counselling sessions.

What kind of people wants to be wardens?
A child might aspire to be a fireman or policeman even a mrt train driver but never a prison warden.
These people are usually those who cannot make the grade as police officers but still wants to wear a uniform so wardens are next best thing.
Most have mental issues. Locked up with inmates inside and minimal contact with outside world in course of work.
Day in day out meet convicts who are scare of them.
Most after A few years on the job cannot function anywhere else.

I'm confident that one of the reasons for this stabbing incident was because the Prison Officer was an on the ball fucktard officer who will not hesitate to charge an inmate for some stupid reasons..

These type of officers are usually the target of reprisals by inmates..

One bastard was the Cheebye Kia ASP Ranjit Singh.. He was notorious for making life difficult for inmates when he was the Duty Officer..
