【星島日報報道】據外媒報道，在印尼波羅洲有一隻瀕危物種紅毛猩猩被當地人抓來當作性奴。只要花費2英鎊，它就能按照客人的要求進行性行為。近日，有保育人員透露，這隻名叫波妮（Pony）的雌性紅毛猩猩，慘遭人類當成性奴的情況。
猩猩波妮（Pony）很小的時候就被人從它母親身邊捉走賣入黑市。捉牠的人剃光牠的毛髮，每兩天給它修面，還強迫給牠噴香水和化妝，甚至被訓練按照客人的要求與他們發生性行為。波妮受到了當地棕櫚油農的歡迎，他們只要花費2英鎊就能和牠發生性行為，波妮慘遭人類當成性奴。

此後，波妮被帶到附近的一個猩猩保護區，慢慢開始康復，也開始慢慢接受男性管理員。牠開始不再害怕男性，開始喜歡他們的陪伴。如今，波妮被轉移到位於尼亞魯蔓籐的一家猩猩救助站，和其他七隻紅毛猩猩住在一起，狀況良好。
該保護區動物管理人員說：「波妮在被囚禁期間受到如此駭人聽聞的對待，對牠來說要學習一隻正常野生大猩猩的行為並不容易。目前牠還不太可能被允許進入野外，因為光是學習一隻正常猩猩的基本技能，它就花費了太多的時間。」
而由於印尼農村地區的法律並不完善，那名囚禁波妮作性奴的人也並未因此受到任何懲罰。
