India's population has grown more than a billion, ever wonder why they can't match against China and USA.
It must be India got better things to do rather than aiming for gold medals which cannot bring rain to enrich drought-striken areas or get rid of poverty.
Or perhaps, India is shied of sports talents or they are a pragmatic lot--reputation is worth a junk when countrymen are struggling to make ends meet.
Who knows one day, those India nationals working in singapore may learn one or two things from the PAP Govt, egging on the India Govt to import Sports talents to win silvers or bronzes (when you cannot win gold, of course, you would delude a BRONZE AS GOLD to appease the taxpayers).
How would India people feel if China Ping-Pong girl (Li Jia WEi) plays for India the next Olympics, let say 500,00 rubees for gold???
About time Li Jia Wei should name her a christian name, why not call herself APPLE or MANGO so to look global. Will she represent India if she is offered ?
