That's normal. That's just simply ordinary human behavior and reactions. If this occured in china many ppl would be screaming chinky chinks, slanted eyes etc and i would bet you wouldn't even react at all.

There was definitely an amount of politics involved. The government basically wanted to be seen to have done everything possible to save her. They also know that given the state she was in, nobody would blame Singapore if she died.

My own view is that while she would have been marginally more comfortable had she not travelled, I don't think it shortened (or prolonged) her life by much.

Before she was sent to Singapore, it was already known that she couldn't make it. The reason why she was sent to Singapore (it costs the stakeholder a bomb to do that) was because the Indian govt wanted to take the heat off itself.
