Apparently, an Indian national by the nick, skumars25, posted there on 25 Feb 2011 asking for advice:
It appears that skumars25 worked in Singapore from 2001 to 2004 declaring that he had a degree in his EP application when he had not completed it. He had essentially made a false declaration in his EP application and yet MOM approved it, allowing him to work in Singapore with no issues. He then went back to India in 2005. What is amazing is that he came back to Singapore in 2011 and got another job with MOM’s approval again! Probably, due to the tightening of work pass approvals during the election period, he was worried that his false declaration might be found out and hence, he went to the Singapore Expats Forum to ask for advice.
The expat, singaporeflyer, quoted skumars25’s original text and replied him on the same day 25 Feb 2011, “Producing false information is a serious offence. If they find out, both you and your company will be in serious trouble. You will be in more trouble. Don’t do this.”
Declaring himself to be a “great fan” of Singapore, skumars25 said that he wouldn’t confess to his company or MOM about his false declaration [Link]:
The question we want to ask is, what has MOM been doing? How many so called foreign “talents” without proper degrees (and with bad English) have MOM been allowing into Singapore?

Dear friends,
I have already worked in singapore with an employment pass for 3 years during 2001 to 2004. I have a good amount of other technical qualification done privately. I didn’t cleared the degree but i have mentioned in my E.P application that i have completed and i didn’t had any issues during my tenure.
I was working in India from 2005-2010 and now i got a job in singapore & my E.P has been approved. I am currently in singapore but i would like to know will this casue any problem in future? i have close to 15 years of experience and have a good amount of additional qualification.
Can you please advise me?
Thanks,
Kumar

Thank you brothers for your quick response.
I am thinking whether i can suicide if i caught..
i am sure i can not go to my office or m.o.m stating that i have given a false information.. which is equal to killing my self… 99.99% sure i am gone if i caught.. but 0.001% hope that govt may let me live.. since i am contributing to the economic growth, paying tax, not involved in any criminal activities and great fan of SG.
He even questioned why MOM didn’t check his degree properly before giving approval! Still, he was worried that he would be found out later [Link]:I am thinking whether i can suicide if i caught..

I am /was also hoping that i have given the opportunity based on my other certifications and the experience. Still i am worried a lot about this.. not sure what to do next.. praying god everyday…
Also why are they are not checking it during the visa approval.. whatever i know its done only after visa approval and only on selected people
Subsequently, in Apr 2011, it appears that he resigned from his job in Singapore and returned back to India when the fear of being caught got the better of him [Link]. The expat, singaporeflyer, also deleted skumars25’s quote for fear that giving advice on illegal matters may jeopardize one’s PR application later [Link].Also why are they are not checking it during the visa approval.. whatever i know its done only after visa approval and only on selected people
