Dr Thiyagarajan Mathimaran, 33, has paid $5,000 to the 42-year-old woman whom he allegedly molested in a staff toilet at the hospital on Simei Street 3 on Jan 1, 2011.

The woman was present in court.

The Indian national, represented by Mr K. R. Manicka, was attached to the urology department of the hospital at the time.

A medical doctor accused of molesting a female staff at Changi General Hospital was cleared on Wednesday after he had compounded the offence.

Dr Thiyagarajan Mathimaran, 33, has paid $5,000 to the 42-year-old woman whom he allegedly molested in a staff toilet at the hospital on Simei Street 3 on Jan 1, 2011.

The woman was present in court.

There are many Filipino and Chinese nurses in our hospitals. If it's FT nurses, $5000 is a lot already for them. If it's Singaporean nurse - offender may be given rotan.
