The difference between Lim Kim San and Mah Bow Tan is:

1) Education. LKS isn't a scholar. He was a competent public servant with the heart in the right place. Scholars study and think too much and doesn't understand how real lives work.

2) LKS does not demand million $$$ salaries to do his job. MBT paid million $$$ still cannot do his job.

3) MBT got voted out when he ran against Chiam See Tong. Somehow voters were correct back then and knew something was not right with this chap named Mah Bow Tan. PAP should learn this lesson: when a candidate gets the boot, make sure he does not come back otherwise he will screw everybody up. Lim Kim San was a well oved man.

To sum it up:

MAH BOW TAN IS INCOMPETENT.

He says he wants to stabilise the market, but that simple job until today he cannot do.

hmm…to be fair maintain the current hdb system…then introduce a low price entry-level (EL) hdb 3,4 room flat that is different from BTO/DBSS in: (1) 49 yr lease with option to extend the lease later-on depending on the needs (2) for citizen only and the male partner must served ns (3) for 1st time buyer only (4) buy/sell direct thru hdb, not resale mkt (5) is not owner of another property at the same time (6) non-investment grade (7) cannot sub-let (8) no carpark lot option (9) for low and average income citizen only etc ...

Just vote out MBT, WKS, Vivian, Yacob, KBW, LHL, LKY. They've passed 'Use by' date.
