<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I TAKE taxis everywhere I go and I always try to take Comfort cabs because I have a Cab Charge Card and they have been pretty reliable and pleasant so far.
Now for the good. On one occasion, I left my organiser in the taxi and before I even missed it, the cabby drove back to my home and returned it to me. I wanted to reward him but he waved it off as part of his job. I was very touched.
Now for the bad. On another occasion, a cabby screamed at me because I did not tell him I wanted to pay by credit card. This happened even though the only question he asked me was whether I wanted a receipt. I had said no and handed over my credit card.
And finally, for the ugly. I left a large red bag full of dirty laundry at the back of a taxi a few days ago. As I had called for the cab, they traced the driver and he promptly denied there was anything left in the boot of his cab. As there were two of us in the cab, it was not my imagination that got the better of me.
I know it does not mean anything to him but unfortunately, it does to me. I even offered to pay the cab fare to send it to me, but to no avail.
