Actually depends what you are looking for.

Austria & Switzerland has beautiful landscapes
Venice has all that water
Rome has plenty of history
London has old buildings which didn't interest me.

You can get around Europe using their excellent rail system. If you are interested in traveling in Europe you should consider getting a Eurail Pass.
