I don't know how many people could remember this.
Years ago, TCJ was a young debater from some junior college in the finals on TV. Guest of honour was Wong Kan Seng. The title was (ironically) something like "MP's first loyalty was to constituents and not to party" Not sure which side TCJ's team was on.
I think there was a segment where members of the audience could ask the debaters questions and the debater had to answer there and then. I could not remember the exact question but I could remember TCJ in his response suddenly keh kiang and used Wong Kan Seng as an example. He said something like, "Take Mr Wong Kan Seng for example. If there is a conflict between his loyalty to the constituents and his party, the right thing for him to do is to RESIGN!"
The TV then showed a closed up view of Wong Kan Seng, visibly shocked and unhappy, but he quickly put up a struggled smile knowing that his is on TV. TCJ's team lost by the way.
Fast forward to the present, I wonder if TCJ would himself resign if there is a conflict between his loyalty to the constituents and PAP.
Priceless to see the reaction on fucking Wong's face
