I, on the other hand, have posted nothing but positive news to refute the doomsday scenarios that are dominating the headlines. I have also peppered the forum with a variety of topics that I find interesting and informative. I have my hobbies, my projects and my routines and I love them all.

As for relationships I've never been cynical and I'm in a wonderful union with a fantastic woman and I've made it work for more than 3 decades so I must be doing something right. One of the keys to the success has been to be realistic in my expectations regarding what a relationship is all about. It's not about passion it's about a meeting of minds and a solid foundation of shared values. Those who expect passion to last forever are the ones that will fail.

And lastly your stereotyping of the elderly is a shocking display of ageism. There are 80 year olds in my social group and they are as sharp as nails and are way more positive about life than the snowflake generation of today who spend their sorry lives trying to find things to be offended about.
