The religion rastafarism originated from Jamaica from the teachings of marcus garvey who wanted black empowerment due to black ppl being mistreated in the west even after freedom from slavery. They looked towards Africa their motherland for inspiration and came upon a black king Haile Selassie who was crowned king in 1930. Thus they began to worship him as a God a black christ in human form. Haile Selassie visited Jamaica too and was overwhelmed by rastas who wanted to meet him in the flesh.

The religion become world famous due to musical artists like Bob marley and the many reggae musical artists many of whom were rastas that moved and travelled everywhere especially in the UK and the US they spread their msg thru their music etc. Most rasta artists like call out Jah name by shouting Jah rastafari.

Famous singers like sinead O conner also sang out Bob's song war and tore up a picture of the pope.

Anyway here's damien marley his youngest son junior gong. He's one of the best marley performers.

His performance at rebel salute 2014

@flatearther, get a life.

If you post something useful like Rastafari information, at least I learn something new and I get a good impression of you. Pasting pictures which has no relevance makes me think that you are either insane or lack common sense.

Oh yeah, that's it. Marina Square! Now it rings a bell. I was there the other day at Shokuhin for dinner. That's why I thought your name was familiar.
By the way, "Claire" was also there earlier this year (in March):

I am now at NUSS Guild House having a coffee while he is at some IT show at Suntec Convention. Men and their gadgets. Never interested in them, but no choice, it’s our weekend together. Maybe after replying to a couple of messages, I should make my way to Emporium Shokuhin at Marina Square for a walk.

No, I am not a bitch (if I don’t want to)
I am who I am and I can't expect more that what I am. Adieu! I am off to Emporium Shokuhin now.

TTYL

Another point is that after doing a simple search of "Shokuhin":
sammyboy.com/search.php
"Claire" and "Joanne" are, so far, still the only members who have posted about visiting that place. :p

And I am Claire? Oh OK. So be it if you think so and you believe you have proven your point. You can go elsewhere and make yourself useful and leave me alone.

Dear Ms Joanne,

I didn't expect you could 'last' long when you first started the thread. In fact, you are quite like Claire. When she first came on to sbf, she was baptised with fire by sbf veterans but she lasted for a few months, and suddenly one day ,for one reason or another, she has disappeared completely. Perhaps Eat may know her whereabouts as he is closest to her. ( I think )

I certainly see that you have the tenacity to hang on and persevere in the furnace. Good luck to you ! Hope you make some good friends here.

I am out with my friends now at Clarke Quay now. One of my friend shouted "Pikachu Pikachu" and everyone around us including strangers immediately took out their mobile to hunt for it. Haha. It's so fun. I just realised Pikachu is a rare critter and difficult to hunt.
