by then....shouldn't be a jam anymore....
and

Don't know why this place is always so crowded

Nothing interesting at Bugis Junction.

kuan yin ma improve the fengshui of the area.

bugis has alot of potential which is not properly milked. the pasar malam should be allowed to expand, iluma will evolve to make better use of its space.

what's disappointing is sinkie businessmen selling the same old boring items, not evolving with the populace...

Hong Kong: Re-discovering escalators as public transport
Escalator_at_rush_hour.jpg

Cars and even bicycles seem to be slowly becoming a less desirable element of dense city life as people realise the traffic problems they can create, the danger they can present to their users, and the space they can take away from parks. Accordingly, many cities have recently been looking into improving pedestrian methods of getting around. Hong Kong has taken an incredibly successful step forward in this way and has introduced an 800-meter-long system of moving sidewalks and escalators into the center of its city.

There is actually another crossing less then 50m down the road(U can see it in the picture) on top of that, there's the MRT underpass and I think they are building a new bridge that would link Bugis Junction with Illuma. Personally I use the other crossing just to avoid the tight squeeze

I don't think its a matter of being smarter. The picture just shows that the average Singaporean is lazier. There are a number of alternatives they can take but they choose to just squeeze with the rest. Like we pointed out earlier, the bridge from Illuma is almost complete, should help reduce the tight squeeze

Bugis is congregated by rubbish low-value people at home and abroad.

Before Bugis Junction came in 1995 everyone saw what a rubbish dump of a place it already was, before the additional garbage came in of course.
