Bingo, and one of them lost his deposit. I have people even now who think his PHD is from a paper mill and when I tell them he is a medical doctor, they cannot believe it.
If you write grammatically well in flowing prose, even when it is rubbish, there is a tendency is to give it credit.
There is an actual academic paper published in an academic journal published after the 2011 GE that focuses on NSP, SDP, Gomez and GMS. Both Gomez and GMS are cast in glowing terms. Gomez having a strategic mind and explains how skilfully he took himself out of public space for 3 years to re-build his image and acquire a PHD, exited WP in yet another skilful move and was courted by the SDP over one year. GMS is described as elite scholar.
2001 is the year that Gomez, GMS and Sylvia Lim joined WP. 2006 is the year that all 3 went in for their maiden election as candidates. And this was written in 2011 after the GE. The word hindsight obviously went pass the paper's author.
