the only voters with any real power to choose the government or MPs are those who live in marginal constituencies. ( In Singapore, there are none expect Hougang and Potong but even those two constituencies have not changed ruling parties for 20+ years )

Less than 5% of our constituencies can be considered marginal.
The rest of us have little or no power to influence the outcome of the election.
In some ultra safe constituencies ( 95% for us ) the value of your vote falls to practically zero.

so what is the meaning of our vote?
That's why proportional representation is a must.

Co-operative society and Association bye-laws often incorporate a clause stating that "Voting shall be in person only". Please examine the registered bye-laws (and applicable co-operative societies Act, and rules and regulations related to it) of your society and see if such is indeed incorporated. If so, the answer is most probably No.
