However I do have gay friends just like i have christian friends and friends who are pro and not so pro Govt.

i am not gay but i am sensitive about hurting their feelings. for me, it's simple. they've always been bullied, made fun of and discriminated against - unlike women, chinese etc, who don't start off getting ridiculed and picked on every day. i don't want to make it any harder than it already is for them.

i can tolerate and even laugh at genuinely funny gay jokes in the same vein i enjoy "normal" jokes but i will not go so far as to bash them or do nothing when i feel that someone has gone too far, like ronron going "fuck the gays!" because of a pedophile who happened to prey on little boys rather than little girls.

i personally don't discriminate homosexuals. i have friends who are gays and residing locally and in Australia. They are professionals in the working society. I crack jokes on homosexuals but that doesn't mean i am discriminated against them, just purely for a bit of laughter and amusement. My gay friends don't mind too.

No one is born perfect, flaws in character or maybe something else, but we are who we are, so don't be overly sensitive to such kind of behaviour. some may think what i said is not right but it's okay, i don't care anyway. i mean no offence, just my usual
