I feel sorry for these people. Ignorance and blind obedience will kill you.
This doctor will not talk so much after people getting lifelong allergic reactions, vaccine injury and disability and death.

I will post my opinion on this later as i am in no mood in doing this now.

Do They give jabs on the boobs like they do on the buttocks?

So far, the only people that have been advising against getting the vaccines done are Trump's inbred blind followers, the conspiracy theorists, people who believed they were abducted by aliens and; (in Singapore)-a failed emcee-wannabe Singaporean with a 'masters' degree from godknowswhere university who gobbles anything he reads on the internet. Nevertheless, they are entitled to their decision and I respect that.
However, I would want to get vaccinated as soon as I could because:
1) It is socially responsible
2) I will indirectly be saving lives bcoz without the vaccines, covid will be at large, and it is fatal to our elder generation and people with underlying conditions
3) I will get to travel with a better peace of mind (the vaccine papers will most likely be an additional requirement to a passport for future international travels)
4) It will help to open up and facilitate our economy
5) I do not like to be sick and I know that I am not allergic to seafood

Covid is scam. Vax is scam off the covid scam.

Old people die is part of life. Virus and death is nature way to ensure mankind continue, don't fuck with Nature and God's will.

I am definitely not an anti vaxxer. I have my flu shots annually. I've had my shingles shot, my tetanus/whooping cough shot, my polio shot, my Meningococcal shot and god knows what else. I've lost count.

My dog gets all his shots annually too.

However this does not alter the fact that I do not trust a vaccine that is new and that has been rushed to market. I'll wait till the dust has settled and the medium/longer term effects are known.

What is pretty obvious is that Covid is not the killer it was made out to be as it has hardly made a dent on overall mortality figures.

The CDC data points to the fact that flu deaths have been replaced by Covid deaths which is why overall numbers are stable. This also brings into question the reliability of the covid numbers.

Unprecedented? Overall Mortality in Sweden and other European Countries

Overall mortality is the best number we have to compare COVID19 to prior flu seasons. Overall mortality means counting the number of deaths certificates, regardless of any test result or interpretation by physicians or health authorities.
Germany
Let´s start with Germany

In January 2018, more people in Germany died than in March/April 2020. In 2018, Germany had its worst flu season of the last 30 years. Nobody was interested in this, media coverage was low. No lockdown — flu disappeared on its own.
Sweden
Now we continue with Sweden. What happens, when a country does not impose a lockdown?

Obviously, COVID19 overall mortality is in the range of a severe flu season. It remains arguable, whether it is identical to the flu season of 2005 and 2003, where the spikes are the same, or if we have to look back to 1995 or 1993 to correct for the declining average in mortality. The message keeps the same: there have been worse months in Sweden, and absolutely nobody was interested in. To look at these flu seasons in detail, we can have a look at the deaths per weeks:

France & Belgium
How about countries that were in the epicenter of the pandemic? Like France or Belgium? Well, even there, spikes are comparable to prior years. Again — nobody was really interested in these events

Mortality of COVID19 is high, but it is not unprecedented. For more charts about COIVD have a look at my twitter timeline.

My American friend In Real Life has lost both her parents, just bcoz she shared this belief that covid is just like the flu. Yes, it was indeed like a flu for her, but after she came back from the party in nyc, she unknowingly brought back covid. She only realized she had it when her 70yr old mom was admitted to the hospital and got tested(they initially thought it was asthma). Shortly after this, her 75yr old dad was also admitted to the hospital, unfortunately he died 2 days after(he had a heart condition and diabetes). Her mom followed a week after. Now my friend has recovered, of course, in fact she only had a very mild fever. But she kept telling me ,‘if only I have known more and did not go to that party in nyc, my parents wd still be alive.’ As a friend, I told her that it was meant to be.
If I were her though, I would feel guilty too.

This particular Kennedy has always been a vocal anti-vaxxer, mainly bcoz his son had anaphylaxis due to his allergy to peanuts. He's also an attorney who has a tendency to question science. Coming from the Kennedy lineage, it must be really frustrating not to be like his dad/uncles/cousins, thus, I can understand why he has this need to constantly be seen/heard all these years, yet never quite get to the political circle that he most likely wished for. I find his character very entertaining, but I will never consult an attorney when it comes to health issues. Just my humble 2 cents.

As you can see, we doctors see a variety of people who have very differing views and opinions.

Often people like to hear what they want to hear. Hence when someone tells you Dr X is a very good doctor, take it in context. More importantly who is the patient and what are the patient's views.

For example, if Robert F Kennedy Jr said his doctor is an excellent doctor and he follows what his doctor says and recommends that doctor to everyone, not everyone is going to like that doctor. Unless that doctor is a roti prata man and flips and flops according to what the patients want to hear.

Medicine is about dealing with people. It is not really so much about science.

My gd friend, the previous head of ENT at MD Anderson hospital in Houston(he left after I left Houston in 2009, and run his own pte practice now in Calif)has a different opinion. He has a passion in what he does, maybe that makes a difference between yr perception n his.
When we love our job, and have a passion in what we do for a living, we respect the science and acknowledge how since ancient times, medicine/science/alchemy are very much inter connected. No patient can affect nor influence the decision in healing others. Healers do not aim to please, healers aim to heal. However, if we choose our profession for the money or status, then our foundation/stand on things can be easily wavered by others.

Bet your good friend spends quite a bit of his time dealing with complaints to his medical board.

Nowadays people love to complain as long as they are not happy. And all complaints are investigated. Requires a letter of explanation that is also vetted by malpractice insurance lawyers and advisors.

We are not in ancient times today. Times have changed. These days you have to be careful what you say.

Put it this way.

Say both you and @tobelightlight went to Dr X with running nose, cough and fever.

The topic of Covid-19 comes up.

How in the world would it be possible for BOTH you and @tobelightlight to come away saying Dr X is a good doctor without Dr X being a prata man?

LOL!

Now if Dr X really sticks to his guns in what he believes to be the best science :

ie

A) Covid-19 is real and the vaccine is the best option and he recommends it

or

B) Covid-19 is a hoax and is just like a normal viral infection and the vaccine being rushed it is safer NOT to take it and wait till Phase III trials are completed

How is that going to please both of you?

My point here is that people need to understand that one person's "good doctor" may be the "worst doctor" to another person.

I give you another simple example that many doctors compromise on.

Use of antibiotics for patients with colds and flus. What does the science really say? What is the current practice in Singapore? What is popular and consumer pleasing?

What is "right" and "wrong"?

@Hanslesley73 when you get a cold or flu do you get antibiotics?

When I was living in Singapore one of my Ang Moh friends and his wife from the UK came to visit and they wanted to tour Malaysia.

They asked me how the roads were like and whether they were safe. I said I had driven from Singapore to Penang numerous times without any issues and sent them on their way.

My advice put them in hospital for 6 weeks because they ended up in a head on crash with an overtaking pickup truck.

Shit happens. I felt guilty for a long time.

However that does not alter the fact that the vast majority of trips are uneventful.

Luckily you were not providing them a service or consult.
