How big is Australia?

On some days, however appropriately you try to dress, the wind and the cold hits you in the front and comes out through your back. Those are the kind of days I am talking about. Unless you are native to the area you will feel that kind of cold irrespective of your dressing.

Nobody hangs around outside on days like that unless you're a winter sports junkie. You simply go from heated home to heated car to heated mall to heated office. It's like Singapore where most people can't "stand" the heat and spend most of their time in an air conditioned environment.

The only downside of extreme cold is when you get snowed in, your power fails and your pipes burst.

The exposure however little from home to car or from car to mall, especially if you dont get a good parking spot is enough to chill you to the bone. Even more so when we are talking about people from our sunny climes moving over to these places that can experience Arctic weather.
