ParknShop sues Hui Lau Shan dessert branch in Kwai Fong for rental arrears amounting to HK$850,000

5th November 2019 – (Hong Kong) Hui Lau Shan dessert branch which occupied a unit at New Kwai Fong Gardens in Kwai Fong owed 3 months rental arrears to its landlord, ParknShop for over HK$850,000. Hui Lau Shan entered into a tenancy agreement with the landlord for 2 years from 20th October 2018. The tenant has owed rental for over 3 months since August and they still need to pay the outstanding electricity and water utility bills for October.
The landlord also seeks to recover over HK$200,000 to restore the unit into its original condition, the actual costs will be ascertained later after taking into account the deposit paid earlier.
