Hong Kong's "King of Prostitution" arrested

The suspect is being taken away by police​

A 30-year-old underworld figure - dubbed the Hong Kong "King of Prostitution" - who is also a senior enforcer of Sun Yee On triad, has been arrested. The suspect, nicknamed Sai B, became the new Tsim Tung Tiger after his predecessor Lee Tai-lung was murdered last year.

He is one of the 10 Kit (outstanding enforcers) in Sun Yee On, the biggest secret society in the Special Administrative Region. His main businesses were operating prostitution hubs and five nightclubs in Tsim Sha Tsui.

After two years of gathering intelligence, police Organised Crime and Triad Bureau arrested Sai B, his wife and 17 others on Friday. Those arrested were 10 men and nine women, aged between 19 and 51. Among them, two men and a woman had been charged with four counts of money laundering.
The rest were released on bail.

Police said the syndicate controlled by Sai B, made HK$380mil within seven years. Then, Sai B laundered his money through 88 accounts of his families, relatives, friends and followers. Police seized HK$1.33mil cash and some New Taiwan dollars, as well as a large amount of jewellery and luxury watches from the group. They have also frozen some properties worth about HK$20mil and seized four luxury cars.
