if car flipped upside down it's considered a total as chassis frame for driver and passenger compartment cannot be guaranteed to be safe anymore. moreover, fluid containers and plumbing are compromised and very hard to diagnose and repair. in u.s. if car is stolen it's considered a total loss or "salvage" even though it may be in good condition. nobody knows what has been compromised upon recovery. 900k baht is too much for repairs. can buy a brand new honda accord in u.s. she made the right choice. and btw, it's scrapped not scraped. if scraped, they are just scratches. :pMy friend’s one and a half year old Accord overturned in Jan.

Honda said repair cost will me minimum 750k baht to 900k and after that no guarantee car same as before. Also insurance covered repair cost max 700k the rest she pay. Insurance advised her to scrap and insurance will pay her 1.05mil baht. She scraped it. Used the 1.05m for a new car. I thought it was a good trade off.

looks like "scraped" or just scratches to me. :p
this one is beyond redemption. perhaps, can retrieve some spare parts (such as catalytic converter) in the scrap yard.
Yes of course the proper way is to scrap the car instead of repairing it. Die die also must scrap. Only idiots will want to repair. A repaired vehicle is also worth less. What a dumb suggestion to ask for repair. My friend’s one and a half year old Accord overturned in Jan.

The car is worth more when the parts are salvage. Heaps of demand for spare partsthis one is beyond redemption. perhaps, can retrieve some spare parts (such as catalytic converter) in the scrap yard.
