SINGAPORE : Singapore investment company Temasek Holdings has said it is in talks to sell its stake in Singapore Food Industries (SFI) as part of a regular portfolio review.
Through its unit Ambrosia, Temasek owns nearly 70 per cent of SFI, a food manufacturer.
Temasek did not give details, but based on SFI's current share price, its stake could be worth an estimated S$317 million.
Managing Director for Investments David Heng said Temasek is exploring options to unlock shareholder value and optimise returns.
But Temasek said there is no assurance that any transaction will materialise from its current talks.
