Roll with it.
Bcos Covid doesn’t care about our thots or our beliefs, or our angst or fears, or our chest thumping bravado.
They just find the smallest chink available in the armour, and before we can say “we don’t need to be vaccinated bcos we have powerful immune system”, it’s burrowed into our cells, working to produce millions more virus quickly over days, and send us into the ICU in a daze.
So we need to track and roll with it - adapting as we go along and as new information becomes available.
And we should actively look for data too, and be prepared to make a decision in the absence of full data.
We need to learn to put on safety seat belts from time to time, when turbulence threatens.
We need to be able to do the cha-cha-cha in the public domain, even when the nurses and doctors battle daily and hourly to save lives in the ICUs, track and care for folks on oxygen support, and nurse and support others who may be at risk of taking a turn for the worse in 3, 5, 7, or 11 days for infection.
The more we can prevent the covid Delta force from exploding, the more we protect our healthcare frontliners from added risks, the more we can ensure the best care for Covid as well as non Covid patients.
Care for others, care for ourselves.
