Mrna vaccine works but was made for Wuhan. Still works for Delta but less effective. Then add on the waning effect after 6 months of being fully vaccinated might even be less.

Boosters are the way to go. Look at Israel for guidance. Jews know what they are doing. No perfect solution but as best as can be practically.

Also vaccines and antivirals shall improve.

That said, I just heard from a medico friend that the much touted new Merck antiviral might have a serious grave side effect. Could actually cause cancer. Info apparently comes from a a US medical scientist who has been researching the same stuff Merck is using for the last 10 years. Need to get confirmation from FDA and Merck on this new issue. For the time being I won't be taking this Merck antiviral if I have the misfortune of getting Covid and need medical treatment.

I believe there are newer and more virulent variants after Delta? No mention of them in the Sinkie mainstream media at all. Maybe at least one is already here.

From what I have read(not just the state Times but international media as well) , currently Delta is the big one worldwide. Apparently there is another highly infectious and virulent variant from S America as well. But that one does not seem to have spread widely around the world.

Good question

Not sure but just based on empirical evidence i e Sin Wuhan figures last year compared to Delta figures now, the death rate is very stark and grim.
