At the moment I would not be so sure... Trump's grip on the GOP still looks strong notwithstanding what happened on 6th Jan...next 2 years heading to 2022 Congress elections shall probably provide a clearer picture...oh yes, but first still have to see how the impeachment senate trial plays out in public... unfortunately the actual result already looks like a foregone conclusion...
I think this is true, but why? Its the electorate. There have been interviews from the 14th district of Georgia, where this Marjorie Taylor Greene ran. They interviewed people on the street there and they said "we like her" and then asked them what they though of her videos, the space lasers fired by jews starting the wildfires in California, and they said "So?" the media did compare her to GOP opponent, Dr John Cowan, a neurosurgeon, who reflect what the GOP traditionally is about. He seems normal, conservative and decent, intelligent. But he lost to Greene. He is from there, is married to an anesthesiologist. So why did he lose.
So it has to be the electorate. They buy into and want more conspiracy theory nonsense. They don't want the real candidate, they want a nuclear bomb. And that is why the GOP is in serious trouble, as we can see by the hold of the disgraced 2x impeached one term loser President. He still has power because there are so many who want "Marjorie Taylor Greene" and by extension the disgraced ex loser president.
But the good news is, there are more sane people in the United States, and the numbers on the other side are not going up. All the GOP has to do is continue to be hijacked by the their own electorate calling for insanity and lasers, denialism, etc and the Citizens who will vote against this will turn up again in 2022.
Or the GOP can get its act together, but its not looking very hopeful for them, especially with the recent efforts of Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene and others.
An excellent article basically saying there is a civil war within the GOP.

She is weighing us down': Georgia GOP cringes at Marjorie Taylor Greene spectacle
State Republicans worry the first-term congresswoman will taint the entire 2022 ticket with a stamp of conspiracy theory and extremism.
