<!-- story content : start --> Two weeks ago, Mr Chu Chee Ong started his new job. He is 85 years old. He is now a doorman at the Rendezvous Hotel, in Bras Basah Road. 'I was born in the Year of the Ox. I cannot rest, I am meant for work,' he said with a laugh. The octogenarian is no stranger to the job, having spent 15 years as a doorman at the now-defunct Hotel Phoenix in Orchard Road. He was an icon at that hotel, winning many awards including one for courtesy given by the Singapore Hotel Association.
