Two Israeli nationals are said to have been insulted in the fast food restaurant on Hermannplatz. After a short exchange of words, the situation escalated.
A woman and her companion were allegedly attacked for anti-Semitic reasons on the night of Saturday in - Neukölln. The 24-year-old and the 27-year-old had stalked in a McDonald’s on Hermannplatz in Hebrew, the Berlin police explained. Two men at the neighbouring table, who are said to have spoken Arabic, were therefore derogatory.
When the two Israelis asked the two men not to offend them, the situation was escalated. One of the aggressive neighbours of the table is said to have poured out an alcoholic drink in its direction. Then he took a chair and beat after the woman. She was able to fend off the attack with her arms, continued the police. When her companion wanted to face her protectively, the man is said to have slapped his face with a fist.
Then the attacker and his companion are said to have run away towards Sonnenallee. The state security, which was responsible for politically motivated crimes, took over the further investigation
