MM Lee to visit UK and France from September 21-26

SINGAPORE : Singapore's Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew will be on a six-day visit to the United Kingdom and France starting from September 21-26.
A statement from the Prime Minister's Office said Mr Lee has been invited by the Institute of International and Strategic Studies in London to deliver a special lecture, and inaugurate the Lee Kuan Yew Conference Room at the Institute's Arundel House.
In London, Mr Lee will also meet the city's Lord Mayor, Alderman David Lewis; the Governor of the Bank of England, Mervyn King; as well as political and business leaders.
During his three-day visit to Paris from September 24-26, Mr Lee will attend the Total International Advisory Committee meeting.
He will also meet with French political and business leaders, including the Director General of the French government investment bank Caisse des Depots et Consignations (CDC), Augustin de Romanet. - CNA/ms
