you guy must understand Lao lee is indeed saviour to our older generation. Talk to yr parents and grand-parents you will know, at their time alot of pp are jobless, gangster every where chopping each other. When
Lee come to power, he bring in investment, built factory create job, fuck those gangster, built flats for them.

To older generation, when they got not enough food, no job, no place to sleep, Lee is indeed their saviour.

Many people here will say that I'm mean, but in my opinion, it's precisely this type of stupidity, ignorance or brainwashing if you like, that is ruining SG.
Some blame the ass licking businessmen, corporate leaders, civil servvants, grassroot leaders, etc for sucking up to the government, but you will find people like these in every country.
It's uniquely in SG where you will find people leading hard lives, who praise the vastly overpaid government.

Credit should certainly be given to him and the Old Guard. But is he totally clean? No politician can be totally clean. Did he not change the rules at a whim to suit himself? Has Sinkieland not paid enough gratitude to him and his family? Hell, we even sent a 747 to pick up his sick wife from London. For god's sake, this guy has been in power for half a century and still calling the shots. Exactly how much gratitude is he expecting? Is he not satisfied or does he have something to hide?
