He can't think like a businessman. I believe most, if not, all the towkays who hypocritically enjoyed his mockings against Singaporeans, are mask-hoarders themselves. example, A good F&B boss should be aware that the business in their restaurants will drop if their staff don't wear masks.
He can't plan like an army general. Wuhan Virus is very contagious. Masks do not protect you from Wuhan virus but masks will reduce your viral exposure, giving you a better chance of recovery if you are infected. Yesterday, even the Korean government told the citizens staying near the largest cluster towear masks indoors, at workplace. The leadership in China are also advocating the importance of masks and setting an example themselves. During wartime, complacency is a bigger enemy. Instead of planning to increase supplies and stockpiles, he simply shamed his soldiers for being cowards.
He is not a humble man. To cover up for his incompetency, he stroke off millions for various projects without feeling a pinch, when leading MCYS. Now, he claimed to be the one, who decided to release four pathetic surgical masks per household, because he felt like a husband being henpecked by an ignorant wife. He talked as if he was the sole decision maker, and disregarded his seniors and the worries of his family.
