It is the weak and useless opposition who do not know when to cash in on a golden opporunity on a 'besieged' PM Lee. PM Lee has been trapped by his own words about the Oxley House and is actually grasping and straws and the cabinet Ministers are all shell shocked; no one dares to offer support for fear of being seen as a fool should the case not fall in LHL favour.
A long drawn courtcase of defamation would cause even more damage to PM Lee's name in case even more skeletons from the cupboard is exposed. It is a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
A good opposition party would have demanded a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE in the PM after all the siblings have said so and have not been hauled into court so many days after the utterances. Any smart and opportunistic Minister in the PAP would have realised that PM Lee is doomed by his own folly and in other countries would have given the PM the coup de grace and taken over leadership of the PAP to save the party.
Only Lim Tean from the opposition dared to call on Sinkies to speak up, the rest of the opposition are muted.
Should all the Ministers do nothing quickly to distance themselves from PM Lee and allow the International embarassment to become too unbearable, the whole name of the PAP would have been tarnished and damaged beyond salvation.
Why should a family feud over a house involve a govt committee funded by tax payers? Nobody dares question this? Not even Low Thia Kang?

The siblings already gave their opinion of the PM. Opposition would be fools to intervene . Both sides will turn on them. No way PM can come out looking good whatever his merits. Watch and wait is best.

Agree. Knowing the mindset of sporeans, not prudent to strike on this matter, notwithstanding my hunch the Lees' won't close ranks now that it has escalated to where it is.
Better to be observers and let sporeans decide. The 70% will be unshakeable. They are like KH's supporters.
