JUST IN: Over 26,000 teachers & 500 allied educators will be getting pay raises of between 5% to 15% from Sept 1. The salary raise is meant to keep pace with the market and continue to attract and retain quality educators.

To put it in perspective, e teachers get 8% and the allied educators between 5 to 15%. Guess it's ah gong pressie to them...

Teachers in the General Education Officer (GEO) and Senior Education Officer (SEO) grades will get a raise of 8 per cent. This means that GEOs could get up to $550 more a month, while SEOs could get up to $830 more.

Allied educators will also get between 5 to 15 per cent more a month, depending on their pay grade. This translates into up to $700 more a month.
