Finally, our Indian President realises she cannot have the cake and eat it. Cannot simply collect S$1.54m a year and stay put in her jumbo HDB flat. She needs to uproot herself and family, and jolly well move into her work place (with all its inconvenience, ceremony, and lack of privacy). Obigood!

It's a ploy by the PAP right from the start. They wanted to show how humble she is and relates to the ordinary people, and so asked her to continue staying in Yishun knowing full well that the residents there would sure to complain about the inconvenience she would caused. And now Halimah and the PAP can say it is not that she that does not want to live among the people but it's the people that wants her to move to Istana. We know very well the type of pattern that PAP likes to "chute".
